The Abacus digital water measurement system  features a control unit that allows automatic preset quantity control of water in the temperature range 0 – 90 Celsius. It will measure water from a single source, or hot and cold water supplies may be blended using an Aquameter thermostatic control valve to give the required water temperature.

 

The ABACUS comprises a wall-mounted enclosure with a metering device and a water solenoid valve located in-line on the water pipe. A solid-state electronic micro-controller with push-button switches and a digital display control the interface between the hardware and the operator. 

Once the operator sets the required preset batch quantity on the digital display and presses the RUN switch, the water solenoid valve opens and water is discharged through the metering device. When the correct amount of water has been dispensed, the solenoid valve closes.
